Insurance & Financing

Does The Bridge accept insurance?

The Bridge partners with a third-party insurance coverage expert to help you get full or partial reimbursement from your insurance provider. We can help you maximize the coverage your plan allows — though coverage cannot be guaranteed under every plan.

Navigating insurance for chronic health conditions requires specialized knowledge. Our third-party insurance advocate handles this on your behalf and is compensated from the coverage they secure. In most cases, guests receive more coverage than they could obtain on their own. You are also welcome to navigate your own coverage, and we'll support you every step of the way.

The Bridge Recovery Center is Joint Commission Accredited — the gold standard for patient safety and care quality, which supports stronger insurance claims.

What financing options are available?

The Bridge is a partner with Care Credit. For qualified applicants, Care Credit offers six-month financing and a range of other payment options to help make the program accessible.

How do I find out what my coverage will be?

The best first step is to call our intake specialist at 435-357-9609. We'll review your situation, walk you through the insurance verification process, and give you an honest picture of what coverage may look like for your specific plan — at no cost to you.

We are committed to making our program accessible to as many people as possible. Let us do the work of finding the best path forward for you.

Program Details

What is The Bridge Recovery program?

The Bridge is a 21-day intensive whole-person program with full accommodations in the sunny, peaceful desert just outside St. George, Utah. All meals, housing, therapies, and activities are included.

We limit each session to a maximum of 18 guests to ensure every person receives individualized attention and one-on-one care. Our program is overseen by an experienced team of physicians, therapists, counselors, physical therapists, fitness trainers, and holistic healers — all working together on your behalf.

Many of our guests make more progress in 21 days at The Bridge than they have in years of outpatient care.

Can this program really help me?

Yes. Healing is possible. Over the past 21 years, we've helped more than 3,500 guests make meaningful progress toward health recovery — including many who had tried everything else without success.

For people who've struggled to make progress through traditional clinical approaches, our whole-mind-and-body method has made all the difference. While individual results vary, virtually every guest leaves with positive, lasting results.

What clinical therapies and support are included?

All guests receive a physician consultation and are offered a wide range of clinical support throughout their 21-day stay:

  • Physical evaluation
  • Clinical psychology
  • Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT)
  • Personal relationship training
  • Pain management training
  • Medication and prescription management
  • Massage therapy
  • Physical therapy
  • Personal fitness training
  • Life coaching & planning
  • Nutrition education
  • Acupuncture
What holistic healing activities are offered?

Guests enjoy a rich variety of holistic healing activities designed to revitalize the mind, body, and spirit:

  • Mind-body workshops
  • Yoga & meditation
  • Equine therapy
  • Art & music therapy
  • Native American holistic therapy
  • Wilderness hiking in the red rock desert
  • Foot zoning
  • Rapid eye therapy
  • Desert meditation exercises
  • Silversmithing & creative healing arts
  • Sound healing & breathwork
How often is Dr. Brooks on site?

Dr. Brooks is on site between one and two days per session, providing both in-person and virtual workshops. Our full clinical and wellness staff manages all day-to-day care and programming for the entire duration of your stay.

Admissions

How do I apply to The Bridge?

Call us at 435-357-9609 or fill out the form on our admissions page. One of our guest coordinators will speak with you to learn about your situation and determine whether you're a good fit for the program.

Once you're cleared, a deposit secures your reservation. From there, we'll guide you through every step to prepare for your session dates and make sure all your questions are answered.

What if I think I'm too sick to qualify?

As you complete the application process, one of our clinical professionals will contact you and help determine if the program is the right fit. If you are ambulatory, continent, and have no history of harm to yourself or others, you will likely be accepted.

Please don't self-screen out. Call us and let us have an honest conversation about your situation — we've helped many guests who initially thought they wouldn't qualify.

Can I bring my service animal?

Absolutely. The Bridge warmly welcomes all guests who rely on a service animal. We will happily accommodate both of you — just let us know when you apply so we can prepare accordingly.

Conditions Treated

What health conditions does The Bridge treat?

The Bridge helps people with persistent chronic conditions that have not been fully resolved through traditional medical care — especially conditions that affect the whole mind and body. Our team has 21+ years of experience treating:

  • Chronic depression
  • Anxiety & stress
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS/ME)
  • CRPS / RSD
  • Chronic pain
  • Lupus & autoimmune conditions
  • Panic disorders
  • Chronic illness
  • Adult-onset diabetes
  • Adult & childhood trauma / PTSD
  • Mood disorders
  • Personality disorders

Many guests arrive with multiple overlapping conditions — our whole-person approach is designed for exactly that complexity. See our full conditions page

Can you treat multiple conditions simultaneously?

Yes — and in fact, most guests arrive with several overlapping conditions. Chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and trauma are deeply interconnected; each one affects and amplifies the others. Our integrative approach addresses the full picture at once rather than treating each condition in isolation.

This is one of the core strengths of the 21-day intensive format — we have the time and the team to do the deep work across all dimensions of your health.

What if I can't keep up with the schedule?

Our schedule is structured and gentle at the same time. You are expected to attend your appointments and classes — even if that means resting or lying down on more difficult days. As you gain strength and your nervous system begins to settle, you'll find you can do more.

Our team closely monitors each guest and adjusts the pace as needed. You will always be guided to listen to your body and know when to push gently and when to rest.

Travel & Logistics

How do I get to The Bridge?

Most guests choose one of two travel options:

Option 1 — Fly direct to St. George (SGU): St. George Regional Airport has limited service but is just 20 minutes from our facility. We'll pick you up at the airport for check-in.

Option 2 — Fly to Las Vegas (LAS): Las Vegas is approximately 90 minutes away. Take the hourly St. George shuttle (about 2.5 hours door to door) and we'll meet you at the shuttle stop.

Our facility is located at 98 N 6680 W, Hurricane, UT 84737 — just outside St. George in Southern Utah.
